Barren Fig Tree...
Luke 13:6-9 NKJV
[6] He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. [7] Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ [8] But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. [9] And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ”
Jesus speaks a parable about the barren fig tree. This fig tree He speaks of is you and I. We are the fig tree. Now imagine, knowing about Jesus but not obeying His Word and producing fruit. He gives us so many chances after giving us what we need but, one day He will cut the fig tree down because no matter what He's done, it just doesn't produce fruit. After cutting the tree down it usually gets thrown in the fire. You know what the fire is.
If you don't know Jesus or know of Him but don't produce fruit, now is the time to repent and to call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. Find a Bible teaching church and get into His Word and start producing that fruit.
